Author
Eric
If you plan to use the TZO OMR (Outbound Mail Relay) services with your Outlook Email client, you need to setup your OUTBOUND/OUTGOING SMTP server to use OMR.TZO.COM
1) Open Outlook email client
2) Click the
TOOLS
menu, and then select
E-Mail Accounts
as shown in the screenshot below
3) Select
View or Change Existing Email Accounts
as shown in the screenshot below and then click NEXT
4) Highlight your email account in the list and click the
CHANGE
button as shown in the screenshot below
5) You will now see the screenshot shown below - showing the USER INFORMATION, LOGON INFORMATION and SERVER INFORMATION. Find the
SERVER INFORMATION
area as shown and edit the OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP) SERVER field to show
OMR.TZO.COM
6) For most users, this should do the trick and allow you to now send out email from your IP address through the TZO OMR relay servers. If your ISP blocks the SMTP port 25 outbound, you will need to complete step 7 shown below. Otherwise, you can click the NEXT and then FINISH buttons to return to the main outlook screen.
7) If your ISP blocks SMTP port 25 outbound, you will need to click the
MORE SETTINGS
button as shown in the screenshot on step 5. Once you click the
MORE SETTINGS
button, you will now see the screenshot shown below. Navigate to the
ADVANCED
tab as shown and change the OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) from 25 to 2525 as shown. You should then click OK, then NEXT then FINISH. You are now set to send out via the OMR.TZO.COM server on port 2525.
