Subject Help, My website isn't showing up, I see an UNDER CONSTRUCTION page

I see an UNDER CONSTRUCTION page instead of my website

TZO dynamic DNS service tracks your IP address, updating your domain name record with your IP whenever your Internet provider changes your IP address. This TZO service works independent of any network servers you run inside of your network. If a server is not working as expected, it is very important to first verify your IP address against your domain, allowing you to narrow the problem down quickly.

When testing your domain name, if you are presented with an UNDER CONSTRUCTION webpage (or any unexpected website), please review the following Technote:

IMPORTANT: If your true WAN IP address matches your TZO domain name, your paid service is working correctly. If you test the server problem using only your IP address - no domain name - you will reproduce the problem without any DNS involvement..

TZO does provide free HOW-TOs for Webservers; please see the Tutorials in our Knowledge Base:

Where does the UNDER CONSTRUCTION page come from?

Most webservers have a default website - typically called UNDER CONSTRUCTION (see examples below). These mock websites are served by webservers, until you have reconfigured the webserver to serve your personal website.

Troubleshooting

The way TZO dynamic DNS works, there is nothing special or extra to do when configuring your webserver. All the documentation included with your webserver, or found on the web, applies as equally to a TZO domain as it would with the static-IP based domains used in documentation examples. Additional problem/solution sets may be found in the TZO Knowledge Base.
