To avoid delay on your outbound mail queue, please tune your server so that the maximum number of emails it will simultaneously send to OMR is 10 or less. Otherwise, server resources (on both sides of the connection) may be wasted while the extra connections are deferred.
All email servers will have a configuration option for the maximum number of threads or outbound messages (or outbound messages per-domain) the server will send.
For Microsoft Exchange, this setting is called MaxPerDomainOutboundConnections, which default to 20 and should be set to '10'. This setting can be found in Hub Transport servers or Edge Transport servers, in the Exchange Management Shell. For more details see Microsoft documentation at: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232205.aspx
Other mailservers may not have per-domain limits, and instead use settings with different labeling (such as 'server threads')
