TZO client for Apple MacOS X

TZO works with Apple MacOS X using a client called EZ TZO X, authored by a third party developer. This application has a nice desktop GUI interface, and has officially been tested by TZO Software Quality Assurance.

EZ TZO X Limitations and Workarounds

TZO thanks the author of this application. There are however some special considerations when using this client. To avoid common support questions please review the following:
  • This client does not operate under OS X Server, because the application is GUI based. WORKAROUND: You can run a TZO client on a different computer or different OS (this works as long as both systems share the same Internet connection)
  • Supports only one domain name. WORKAROUND: contact TZO Support regarding single domain signon using "linked" domains.
  • Error messages are unlear for most users. This is usually an issue only when configuring for the first time ("Domain is unavailable"), or if something breaks on your network itself (unplugged WAN, etc). WORKAROUND: Just be sure the domain you want to use is actually yours to use. You can pre-test your key using TZO Control Panel, or TZO Support can prepare your key upon request.
  • The client does not run as a Service -- it must run as a displayable desktop application. WORKAROUND: Many OS X systems are configured for "auto-login" which is helpful for this client... so in System Preferences, under Accounts, add EZ TZO X to the Startup Items list.
  • The author of this software is unavailable for further updates. OS X programmers interested in FREE TZO services in exchange for client development should contact TZO (email devsupport@tzo.com for details)
